In summer 2016, a super virus appeared suddenly and plagued the world. Highly contagious with a survival rate of zero, it spread so quickly that mass deaths were uncontrollable and there was no chance or hope to create a vaccine. Before anyone knew it, curfews and marshall law were in full effect, no one was immune to the disease or its effects. A diagnosis was a sure death warrant... until it mutated, and the once dead rose from their graves craving human flesh. One bite or open wound was enough to spread the virus, or CDB-13 as the scientists called it; "the crank" is what it was called on the streets. Now, it's autumn 2018 and the survivors of the mass pandemic are left to their own devices. A group from the midwest has created a sanctuary they call Eden. Their compound consists of a border fence created mostly of scrap metal and junked cars, with several acres of land where they have created shelters for families and places to call their own. They live off the land and have rescued abandoned farm animals to create their little town with every member of the community pitching in some way to help, whether it's acting as security or helping to cultivate and maintain the land.

1. Please do not be blurry with the ic/ooc line. Any ooc drama will not be tolerated. We totally encourage ic drama as tensions will be high and people will get at each other. Just make sure it is all ic! 2. Applying is easy; all you need is some basic facts about your character i.e name home town age birthday and a small blurb about their personality, strengths and weaknesses. Remember not everyone is perfect we encourage flaws. 3. Activity can be in the form of anything thread with at least 3 replies; or a detailed narrative. Ic posts will be considered in person or over the radio talk so anyone with a radio would become public knowledge. We encourage participating in group threads. However if we notice you only hitting your 3 replies and disappearing until next month we will reserve the right to remove you. 4. There is no character limit but please do not bring in more than you can handle. 5. Pregnancy/marriage/divorce: pregnancy is a natural thing and it will happen. However we will cap pregnancies if it becomes excessive. Marriage and divorce are government related things so breaking up would be just that. There are not legality to marriage so a hand fasting ceremony can be performed. 6. Have fun with this! We are not here to police your every move. We encourage interaction and character development!
